International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
The #IWD2023 theme is #EmbraceEquity to “get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.”

The mentors and scholarship recipients associated with A2Empowerment challenge gender stereotypes through their actions and create an inclusive, safe environment within their monthly group meetings to help drive success for all. Through this continued process of equity, A2Empowerment promotes equality.

"A2Empowerment has been my strength. I am able to reach my expectations all because of A2Empowerment. I will forever be grateful to the A2Empowerment organization that has chosen to encourage women and bring them to light to change the world as a whole and make it a better place for women through education.
"Education has been very important to me. I am able to read and write. I can be bold enough to talk in public, understand what is right or wrong and orient other young women on the importance of education. As a fashion designer, I wish to have a textile and fashion designing industry in the future and be a mentor for girls’ education, and this can be possible only through education by God’s grace.
