Thank You Notes: Class of 2024

Towards the end of the academic year, students in A2Empowerment's scholarship program wrote thank you letters to our founders and the organization for their support in staying in school.

These thank you letters illustrate the direct and tangible impact our program has on scholarship recipients. This collection is just a tiny sample from the many letters written by A2Empowerment, or A2E, scholars. It is important to note the point of these letters is not to highlight the role of our organization, but more so the hope and joy the impact of your donations provide to our students in Cameroon.

One such letter from Divine reads:

"I thank you for the scholarship that I have benefitted from for the last four years and for the advice that I receive every first Sunday of the month with our mentor, [mentor] Ms. Florence Yousseau, who has made me an obedient child and model among the children. You have reduced a burden for my parents so they can better educate my younger children and for that I thank you a thousand times. I promise you that I will continue my studies."

Another from Stephanie reads:

"Thank you A2E. I have been going to school for two years thanks to you. I would already be a housekeeper if A2E did not exist. Infinite thanks to this program. You have never stopped supporting us."

Hilda's letter reads:

"My thanks to [mentor] Ms. Delphine who took me in and particularly to A2E’s leaders for establishing this program. My parents still think that girls’ education is a waste of time. However, certain girls are more intelligent than boys. We say thank you to A2Empowerment for the program that helps girls that like school and that don’t have the means [to go to school]. Thank you and thank you again to all the people who help us."

Mambe writes:

Thank you A2Empowerment for the offer [of staying in school]... I promise to do my best to pass the exam. Without that offer, I will stay in the house so thank you so much A2Empowerment!

And finally, from Makougong:

I say thank you to A2E. The help you give me is greatly appreciated. Without it, I wouldn't be able to go to school.

A2Empowerment invites you to join our efforts by donating so that these students have funding to continue their education and the project can grow to support additional young women who are at risk of dropping out of school. Thank you for reading and for your donations!
